For this to display properly you may need to download the free fonts listed on the thank-you page. (I used Annoying Kettle and Digs My Hart font for these slides.) You may also need a program capable of displaying PowerPoint 2010 files, however, I have converted this into a PDF in order to help this display properly. You will not be able to edit this as PDF.***
This kit is what I've used in my classroom to help me prepare for the beginning of the school year. This kit has a garden theme. When you download this kit, you will get these pages:
*Classroom Checklist - Items listed are intended to be checked off as you complete them in order to get your classroom ready. It helps keep you organized and prepared for the first day of school.
*Seating Chart Grid- Use this to leave for a sub and to have for your own reference.
*Class List Sheet- Use this however you choose. (monitoring homework turned in, completed assignments, progress on specific standards, etc...) I used it to take attendance and keep track of student points that I used for my class store.
*Parent Contact Form- columns for student name, parent name and number, notes to keep track of reasons for contact.
*Class News Page- Use to make announcements and share upcoming class events or celebrations. I used it for reminders on special weeks like our school's Red Ribbon Week when we had lots of events to keep track of.
*Wall Labels- Genre Wall, Word Wall, Reading Toolbox, Writing Toolbox, Math Toolbox, Science Center, Social Studies, What's the Buzz? (Class News Themed Wall Label ), Class Library
*Classroom Library Tub Labels-Fiction, Nonfiction, Mystery, Fantasy, Biography, Science Fiction, Series Books, Leveled Books, Historical Fiction, Fairy Tales, Tall Tales, Trickster Tales, Myths, Legends, Folktales, Adventure
*Desk Name Tags-with Garden themed clip art
*Homework Cover Page Template- To help students keep track of homework assignments for each week day
*Behavior Report- To use to have documentation of problems or issues that need to be addressed either with a student's behavior or if students need to report an issue. Students fill this out themselves and you keep it in an organized place. This form helped me so much, so I had to include it.
*Substitute Information Form- This form should be included in with your substitute folder as a quick reference sheet. It has a place to state who to contact for assistance, helpful students, reminders that you may need to add after typing your lesson plans, a column for the teacher to list brief important info and lastly, a place for the sub to leave some comments.
I compiled this kit with items that I found to be useful in feeling prepared for the beginning of the school year. I hope you find it just as helpful! Thank you for checking out my product. Happy Teaching!
