Your elementary students will love making their own "time capsule" the first week of school! Students complete the packet the first week, and then look at it at the end of the year to see how much they have changed!
When I do this activity, I have the students roll up the packet and put it inside paper towel rolls to make it more like a real time capsule. After they close up the openings and decorate the outside, I store them in my closet until the end of the year. If you don't have the time or space to do that, you can always just staple the packets together and put them into a folder... Either way, the kids love opening them up at the end of the year!
