Sensory bins are a favorite activity in preschool classrooms. Here is a great one for the beginning of the school year! Simply fill your bin with beans, rice, sand, or whatever you want, then add items found in your classroom such as crayons, shapes, scissors, numbers and letters. Toss in some tweezers, spoons and scoops and the kids will have a blast looking for the hidden items. As the kids find things in the bin, they can match them to this eye-spy sheet, naming the colors, shapes, etc. as they go.
