15 readings, ruminations, activities, and project for you and your new students. BACK TO SCHOOL STARTER PACK
Every teacher, regardless of subject or age of student, comes back to each new school year with a fresh start. The intention is to move ALL students into pathways of success. The difficulty is in getting there. Setting the groundwork and the understanding of expectations between students and parents to your classroom environment is key. Having the tools to make that transition seamless is difficult. Over the years, the following collection of activities, readings, ruminations, and projects have given me an advantage when meeting my new students for the first time. They get to know me, and I get to know them, quickly. The faster they realize that I am in the game for them, the better chance I have of keeping their performance at a proficient rate without them hiding and falling through the tracks. I hope that you use these items as a jumping off point in adapting them to your needs. Have a great start to the next school year! Enjoy the journey.
