During the first week back to school your students may be nervous and hesitant but their minds are full of their summer memories. Take advantage of those memories and use them as an ice breaker for your writing program this year. Be sure to write your own also and read them aloud to your class. Perhaps your students will be willing to read theirs to the class too! It is a great way to get to know your students better, and parents will treasure the memories and consider them keepers.
I have included two cover options (one requires less ink) for those who want to bind the prompts into a memory book.
There are four prompts in a paragraph fill in the blank format.
*My Summer Vacation
*My Summer Friend
*My Summer Treat
*My Summer Fun
