It’s back to school time for third, and I bet at one point last year you wished something along the lines that parents be more in the know of what is expected from third graders in Florida.
Were they shocked about mandatory retentions? Did they panic over fractions and multiplication requirements? Did you struggle getting homework participation? Is your principal requiring you to send home a letter stating class rules?
I created this trifold for our grade level to use during parent orientation and for the first week of school. The trifold will list the basic, yet firm class set of rules that can be used in any classroom. The trifold will also give reasoning behind homework and give helpful tips for success in the home. This product will also list online resources that can be used by the parent and child to help in struggling areas.
Please note that the trifold also includes a note to parents in regards to mandatory retention in third grade in the state of Florida if they do not master the ELA standards. This trifold is generic for any third grade but is specific to Florida classrooms.
