Ideal for an end-of-term assessment, or for a pre-test at the start of the year to see what your students already know about US history.
This download includes four tests with answer keys (2 tests covering the same information; each test has 2 versions with scrambled answer choices -- great if cheating on multiple choice tests is a concern!) Each test has 50 multiple choice questions and includes questions that ask students to interpret political cartoons, charts, graphs, and/or photographs. Questions cover the colonial period through the late 1900s, with a heavy emphasis on questions related to government and Supreme Court cases.
Tests were developed using questions from previous NY State US History Regents Exams. Unlike printing an old exam from the web, this scrambles questions from many different tests, so you can be sure students haven't simply looked up the answers to the old test.
