10 Back to School WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Cards.
A classmate is bothering you, your pencil is not sharp, you feel hungry, you got a problem wrong on your work, you’re worried about something after school…. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
These are scenario cards that help to front load students with what to do in certain situations they may encounter. I have used them with third grade students.
Print and fold the cards in half so that the scenario is on one side and the answer choices are on the other.
SUGGESTIONS ON WAYS TO USE THE CARDS:
1. Divide students into groups and give each group a card. Have the groups create a skit that models their scenario and each possible answer. Have the rest of the class pick the best response. (*This is my favorite way to use the cards. It’s fun and my students love doing act it out work.)
2. Dive students into groups. Give each group a scenario card to start with. Set a timer. Have the groups discuss their scenario. Have groups pass their cards each time the timer goes off.
3. Project the cards on the board so the whole class can see. As a class go through and discuss the scenarios.
