Pg. 3-15 Whooo I am… - a fun mobile – copy off all the patterns onto the appropriate colored construction paper – fill out the information on the white paper – cut out and glue together as seen in the example, glue the white stars and moons on either side of the yellow stars and moon – add a picture- punch holes, add string and hang
Pg. 16-23 Owl About Me Time Capsule! – color and cut out the owl bag topper – trace or make a print of your hand and fold it and put it into a lunch bag, color and add your picture to the “This is Me!” Frame, fold the “Owl About Me” book and fill it out, Cut and fold the “My Drawings” book – see example of how to fold a mini book – color the pictures, have a friend measure how tall you are with string and cut it and place it in the lunch bag with the other items – fold the top of the bag down and staple it, glue the owl topper on top – open the time capsule at the end of the year or send it home
Pg. 24 Whooo? Find someone who… - walk around your room and meet new friends – fill in names of people who have certain attributes, who like certain things, or who can do certain things… find as many different friends as you can
Pg. 25 Let’s Find… - an informative scavenger hunt that will help students locate important items in the classroom as well as important places around the school – especially good for new students to the school – helpful to have clipboards
Pg. 26 H-owl did you come to school? - a fun graph to see how everyone traveled to school that morning – color and answer the questions
Pg. 27 Welcome Back coloring page – something for the students to do the first few minutes of school as everyone gets situated
Pg. 28-30 Owl necklaces – copy off the patterns and glue together as seen in the example, punch a hole at the top, add an upside down pretzel, add eyes with a pen or a marker, add a triangle beak with construction paper or a marker – add a name and you have a cute name tag for the day! We make these first thing in the morning.
Pg. 31-32 – Treat Bag Labels – add to a small bag of treats and hand out at the end of the day
