The Worry Mountain Lesson provides students with an opportunity to self-monitor, and prioritize events/activities that cause them to worry by pairing them with things that are the most calming. The Worry Mountain provides a visual representation of how worries can decrease over time. Using positive thinking strategies, self-monitoring, and humor all promote increased coping skills and ultimately decrease “the worries”.
