This creative writing activity teaches students what sensory words are, how to indentify them in a text, and how to use sensory details in their writing. The main purpose of this lesson is to teach students why sensory details are important, however it also introduces theme and prepositions. To complete this activity, students draw a self-portrait which is a fun way to decorate the classroom. This is a lesson I do every year and my students absolutly love it. I hope yours do also!
