Back to School counting on and back 1.NBT.1

This set of task cards addresses the Common Core standard 1.NBT.1, one of the first skills your 1st graders (and some 2nd graders) will need to practice when school begins. Though the standard only requires students to count on from any given number below 120, I've included practice for counting back as well.

The number shown on the bus indicates how many kids are on it. There are kids with blanks under them on the left side of the bus for counting on and the right side for counting back. These are designed to be laminated and used with a dry erase marker, but the pages could be printed in black and white and used as worksheets or recording sheets.
