This back to school busqueda del tesoro will get your students speaking Spanish the moment they return to your class. This community oriented activity contains a ready-to-use graphic organizer for students, a resource guide, and a speaking assessment. This engaging activity will get students up out of their seats and speaking Spanish.
First, students will complete a short vocabulary review activity. Then, you will practice the questions as a class. After, students complete the scavenger hunt by asking one another questions in Spanish to help them figure who did what over spring break. Lastly, students will use the information they gathered to write a short summary of their findings. Students are not only reviewing basic vocabulary, but they are also practice the PRETERITE tense!
To take it a step further, you can use the rubric and oral language assessment to help students keep track of their oral language development in Spanish!
