In this activity students will create a balance sheet for a corporation using Microsoft Excel. There is a page of instructions with the dollar amounts, an Excel page for you to print and attach to the directions so that they can see the layout (see preview) and a key. All of the files are in Microsoft Office 2010. After students complete the balance sheet, they must then determine if the business is successful or not and give reasoning behind their conclusion.
Please note that students without prior Excel knowledge may have difficulty with using the program and may need extra help.
