Balance Your Lunch Tray is a really fun game to practice nutrition concepts. The goal is to create a balanced meal on the lunch tray game board. Students will practice recognizing foods from the different food groups and categorizing them appropriately. Your students will be totally engaged! I even included two short writing activities to help you tie a little bit of literacy into your lesson.
The game is really easy to prep. Simply print it out, cut the cards apart, grab a dice, and you're ready to go. It's a great game to have at a center or to use as a unit review. My own second graders loved playing Balance the Lunch Tray during our health unit.
The resource includes everything you need to play (except for the dice):
The entire resource is included in color and black and white. There are two different types of colored food cards that will help you to differentiate for your students' needs.
