Product Description
This project introduces a unit of study on balanced and unbalanced forces. Students will enjoy using their bodies to describe balanced and unbalanced forces at work. These forces are two forces working in the opposite directions. Through arm-wrestle challenges, observation and discussion students will “unpack” the forces at work. Students will record their findings. Each force is clearly and simply defined here. An original poem/song is included. A cut, paste and sort activity is included for assessment. It could also be used as a separate activity. “See-Saw Experiment” and “Making a Human Table” are activities to further experiment with these forces and balance.

Have fun with hands on learning, writing and recording that will lead to further questions and inquiry!
