PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What are forces? What is balance? Where is the fulcrum? Where is the center of gravity? Let student have fun finding out with these circus-themed figures. Students can balance them on the tips of their fingers, the ends of the noses, or on a tightrope made from string. Just print the figures on heavy (oak tag) weight paper. Then students can color (or not), cut out, and attach coins, washers, clothespins or any other counterweights to make them balance. Conceptual understandings of force and balance develop and become clear as students work to create a balancing circus with a tent, a dog, a lion, and a clown.
