This is a great lab for teaching independent and dependent variable, endothermic and exothermic reactions, or conservation of mass. Students will mix baking soda and vinegar together to form carbon dioxide gas and blow up a balloon. A classic experiment that never gets old!
The pdf includes a full lab with instructions, a pre-lab worksheet, and post lab questions.
Instructions are very simple and you will need limited equipment and consumables to complete the lab.
And… the students always love it!!
