Looking for more ways to integrate math and social studies? This version of 'Place Value Battleship-President Style' is a fun way to do so!
To play the game, students choose a president to represent. Then, partners will take turns guessing a number within a place value (to try and guess their partners whole number in the end). When they guess a number and place value correctly, they fill it in on their record sheet. When a partner thinks they have the number correctly, use the ‘Presidential Chart’ to match the number of votes with the correct president. In order to win, you have to say, “Is your president, (say president’s name), winning with (say number) votes?”. The first person to correctly guess their partners president wins!
My students LOVE playing this during math centers. We typically use dry erase markers and sheet protectors for multiple play and use of record sheets.*Does not come will individual letters*
