Build a Song while you build a Banana Split Sundae! Through rhythmic speech, body percussion, and/or classroom instruments, students can see how a simple song can be written and then performed in a fun, active way.
This product is intended for 1st – 5th grades, so I have included modifications and extensions for “younger” and “older” elementary students. You should modify the timing and depth of the lesson depending on what your students need. I will also have other components to bundle with this one including “primary” and “elementary” composition and/or notation units, and instrumentation options, so please come back! :-)
