Thank you for your interest in the Band Bingo Board. My idea was to take a band practice log, and spruce it up.
Students appreciate choices, and are more likely to complete assignments when offered a choice. While practicing at home is vital, I also believe in educating the student in more ways than just how to play an instrument.
This is a Microsoft Office Word Document, so you can easily edit it to include personalized information, as well as school and community events.
I would pass a new board out on a Monday. I would collect the boards every-other Friday (giving students two weeks to complete the board). P/G Initial stands for parents or guardians to initial. (You are more than welcome to take this part off by editing it). On the Friday that the boards are due, I would collect the completed boards pass out the writing prompt. Students are to answer one writing prompt in class and turn it in for me to grade.
The writing prompt serves three purposes:
1.) I can easily assess the student on if they did complete the assignment,
2.) I can also have an interdisciplinary assignment in my class.
3,) Students get the opportunity to think about how to apply what they learned from the homework.
