Keep this lesson plan on file for an unexpected absence. None of us like to call in sick at the last minute, but emergencies happen. This lesson plan can be used any time of year to help you out in a bind – THE SUBSTITUTE DOES NOT NEED ANY PRIOR MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE. You’ll feel better knowing your students will still be learning about music when you’re gone!
*Substitutes must have access to the internet and be able to show students short videos to use this lesson plan.
*Students will need some room to move around for this lesson. (No instruments needed)
This Substitute Plan includes:
- Detailed instructions for you
- Clear substitute instructions of how to use this lesson
- A word-for-word script of what to say (this is why the sub doesn’t need to understand music to be able to teach it.)
