Product Description
Banned Books Labels: Caution labels with the reasons the book was banned or challenged.

This download includes labels for 126 books. an editable template so you can add your own warning to the label, an activity on how to introduce the books, and discussion prompts for talking about the dangers of censorship and book banning.

Includes clear directions and tips on how to display the books and labels with images from my own classroom.

Don't have the books? No problem! There are instructions to use these with a picture of the book cover for a two-dimensional display (bulletin boards, walls, lockers, windows), as well.

Students are always shocked to see their favorite books and learn about the reasons why they were challenged. This is a great activity for banned books week, to introduce a book that has been banned or challenged, to discuss censorship, and/or to discuss the freedom to choose and freedom to read.

**Appropriate for grades 8 and up, including high school and college. Material not suitable for younger students. (Use your own discretion.)**
