These are fun 2 person games that we use when we are teaching bar graphs. They reinforce basic addition and subtraction facts as well as teaching students to create bar graphs. They then analyze their data and answer questions. Students roll either 2 sided dice or 20 sided dice 50 times. Then they make a tally chart with data from their rolls. They then make a bar graph based on their rolls. After they make their bar graphs and tally chart they answer questions about their data.
There are questions on minimum, mode, median as well as comparisons.
It is important to pre-teach the game so students understand how to analyze the data to answer the questions.
These make great math centers and indoor recess activities.
Check out my Graphing Games Bundle- line plot and bar graphs
