This mini-book is a great introduction to bar graphs! It begins with a definition of a bar graph and what type of data it is used to display. There is a diagram of a bar graph labeling all of the parts and an example of each type of bar graph. There are two practice pages for each type of bar graph with four to six questions on each. At the end there is a multiple choice quick check for understanding and an answer key for self monitoring. The book can be printed, cut, and stapled as a whole group activity or laminated and connected with a binder ring for a write and wipe activity. This is great for differentiating instruction. They can also be used for small group instruction or used for RTI material. This is the first book in a set of five mini-books for bar graphs. Book one is just the basics and the difficulty level of questions is easy to medium.
