This 10 page interactive adapted book helps students learn about Barack Obama through WH questions. Each passage includes 1-2 sentences of informational text and a corresponding WH question. Students choose the correct answer from a field of 3 cards with both words and a visual cue. This is perfect to celebrate Black History Month and Presidents' Day in your special education classroom.
Sample passages and WH questions:
• Barack Obama grew up in Hawaii. He goes there for vacation with his family every year. [Where did Barack Obama grow up?]
• One of Barack Obama's jobs was to help make new rules for the country. These important rules are called laws. [What was one of Barack Obama's jobs?]
This is not a comprehensive review of Barack Obama or his Presidency but rather a few key pieces are highlighted for a special education class. The text is very basic so students can focus on the important pieces. Please check out the preview - it contains the entire book so you can determine whether it is appropriate for your students.
This product also includes four differentiated worksheets that add an optional writing component.
