Now we all know the poem about the three little kittens. However, do you know their names and where they live? Their names are Ally, Prewitt and Leander. They live on a farm. It is a lovely farm with plenty to eat and lots of warm soft hay to sleep on. Ally, the first little kitten, lives in the barn where she plays tag with Daisy, the calf, drinks milk and curls up in the warm soft hay to sleep. But Barney, the blustery, bellowing bulldog does not like to share. He snarls at the kitten saying, “This barn is my home, Daisy is my friend and the milk is all mine to drink!”
So begins the story of how the three little kittens and their friends teach Barney to share and take turns. Practicing the art of sharing and taking turns is a necessary skill for succeeding in elementary school as well as in daily life. This children’s book has an educational twist that will appeal to parents, educators and children.
