Barrier Games are a great literacy activity to promote the use of oral language and listening skills. Children are taught to give instructions on placement of markers and for the partner to listen and following the instructions. In addition to developing locational and descriptive language, Barrier Games also develop student vocabulary through the naming of items. This pack contains more complicated Barrier Games than Level 1 and Level 2. They are suitable for students in year 2 through to year 6. These games are also brilliant for students with special needs and for students who don't speak English as a first language. These barrier games are also in the books "Learning Centres to Support Guided Reading - Book 1" and Learning Centres to Support Guided Reading - Book 2"
