Are you working on base 10 riddles with a certain math curriculum and you feel like your students need more help with place value and building numbers? Look no further! This worksheet is great!
In order to play you need the students to be able to pull a random number. I printed a 100s chart and cut out the numbers and then had the student draw a number and fill out the chart first in hundreds/tens/ones and then the second line is for expanded form. For example, if I picked 72. I would build 72 using tens sticks and ones. I would then write 7 tens and 2 ones. Then on the second line I would write 72 = 70 + 2.
Instead of using a 100s chart to pull a number, my co teacher had the students roll a dice twice or three times if you want the students to work on hundred/tens/one.
Hope you like it!
