This is the perfect activity for a math warm-up to help kids gain number sense and to help them realize that numbers can be represented in many different ways.
Students are shown slides of numbers represented in base 10 blocks. They are then encouraged to think of other ways to represent that same number using expanded form, other pictures, equations, and words.
This activity includes a blank sheet to print out for your class. This sheet can be used for any number. It includes base 10 slides for 15 days. Each one of these slides is accompanied by an example answer sheet.
