This is a place value regrouping game using base ten blocks. The object of this game is to race a partner to get to 100. The first person to do this wins. When students are playing this game they are working on making trades (10 ones for a ten rod, 10 rods for a 100). I suggest backing this paper with construction paper and then laminating it or placing the papers in sheet protectors. This makes it more durable and will last for many years. I give each group two papers, two die, and a bag of base ten blocks. The concept of trading will need to be taught before they can play independently. I use this game for early finishers or for a center activity.
