Common Core CCSS 1.NBT.2
This math game includes instruction pages for students to use and refer to while playing the game, as well as numeral cards 1-99.
To use the game: set out 15-20 cards per student (not all 99 of them at the same time) and have students use unifix cubes to represent the numbers with base ten models. This math game can be used all year by switching out the numeral cards.
Make it fun by letting students spread out on the floor and really experience building tens and ones to represent numbers!
Use during whole group instruction, center time, or small group instruction.
A great way for students to conceptualize base ten and place value! Hands on conceptual practice.
