Tired of using bundling straws to represent the days in school? How about something that actually corresponds with what the students see in their workbooks? By representing the days with the Base-Ten blocks that they see and use in their math lessons on a daily basis, students will gain a more concrete knowledge of the Base-Ten system and how grouping hundreds, tens, and ones works!

File includes what you see in the pictures, as well as an 'I can' statement and an option for printing colored Base-Ten blocks (I used colored cardstock for mine). Make it super easy to use by making your own clear pockets on the laminated pages with clear packaging tape and clear lamination!

The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones).
The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
