Description

Here's a fun card game with a baseball theme for practicing antonyms.

Why use Baseball Antonyms Card Game? Research tells us games help keep children engaged and interested. This baseball themed game is a favorite for children, which means they’ll play over and over again, and practice this important word skill!

How it works: This game has cards which will work for 2 different games. The children can play Concentration, matching the words to their antonyms. They can also play the Old Maid version, where they match the antonyms and avoid the “strike out” card. These games can be played during guided reading groups, centers time

Suggestion: Don't use all the cards at once. Or, you can split the cards into 2 or 3 separate games by making a couple of extra STRIKE OUT cards for the Old Maid Game.

What’s included: This fun game has 23 pairs of antonyms, 2 ”strike out” cards, extra cards so you can make your own, and directions and suggestions for both games.
