Baseball Math - Basic Addition
Review Math concepts with a FUN Baseball game. Your students will love practicing Math with this game.
This game is differentiated by leveling each question:
SINGLE...easy DOUBLE, TRIPLE, ....HOME RUN...challenging
Students will choose the problem according to the level of difficulty they want to answer.
Directions for the game:
Set up bases (cut out and label...1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base,
Separate class into teams
Students pick a game piece
Students that are “up at bat” will pick a baseball. They can choose a SINGLE “easy” problem...through HOME RUN! problems which are more “challenging”.
Students move around the bases with each correct answer “hit”. Students may answer questions out loud, or use a white board to write their answers on.
Game cards “baseballs” can be reused. Just add them to the back of each pile after a student answers a question.
It would be helpful to have a scorekeeper (This person would be the umpire.)
Either the teacher or a student. The students actually love this job!
The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
