Product Description
This activity is designed to show kids how math is used in baseball. Students will gather data (from the internet) on either the American or National League teams then create 3 scatter plots (payroll vs wins, population vs wins, and population vs payroll) and a line of best fit for each to answer questions about the data. For students studying slope and y-intercept, students could also come up with the equation for the trend line.
