1st grade teachers can use this assessment to gather data on where your student's math skills are at the beginning of the school year. By using End of Kindergarten Expectations on this assessment, you will be able to quickly and easily see where holes in learning might be. This will help you in your beginning of the year planning: what pre-requisite skill should be taught before similar 1st grade skills and expectations are introduced.
The assessment questions have a CCSS number after each question for easy identification and easy data transfer to the included rubrics.
The included data check lists/rubrics are organized by Domain then Standards.
Some standards needed to be divided into two grade-able skills. For ex. K.OA.1: there are two assessed skills in the one standard. A student may be able to meet the first part of that standard, yet struggle with the second part. It will be beneficial for teachers to be specific in their data keeping as to which part of the standards and skills students are specifically struggling with.
Suggestions and tips for assessing each standard are included.
Included is a black and white version, as well as a colored version.
