This is my top selling product!!
**Can be used as an End of 1st Grade Assessment, too.**
2nd grade teachers can use this assessment to gather data on where your students' math skills are at the beginning of the school year (before MAP testing or before the end of the first math unit).
By using End of 1st Grade Expectations to create this assessment, you will easily see where holes in learning (or retention--darn Summer Slide!) might be. The data gathered from this assessment will clearly guide you to which pre-requisite skill should be taught before similar 2nd grade skills and expectations are introduced.
The assessment questions have a CCSS number after each question for easy identification and easy data transfer to the included rubrics.
The included rubrics are organized by Domain then Standards. Some standards needed to be divided into two grade-able skills. For ex. 1.NBT.1: there are two assessed skills in the one standard. A student may be able to meet the first part of that standard, yet struggle with the second part. It will be beneficial for teachers to be specific in their data keeping as to which part of the standards and skills students are specifically struggling with. I add names of students into the boxes where appropriate for each skill. This can get a little messy and squished though.
To fix the messy and squished look of option one, I have included an additional tracking spreadsheet. It is much simpler and so does not include detailed information on each skill, but rather just the skill number. This spreadsheet will help you see which student missed which question/skill and who needs support in what areas!
