**This could also be used as an End of 2nd grade Assessment**
3rd grade teachers can use this 23-question (7-page) assessment to gather data on where your students' math skills are at the beginning of the school year (before MAP testing or before the end of the first math unit).
I used 2nd Grade CCSS expectations on this assessment to clearly guide you on which pre-requisite skill (2nd grade skill) needs to be taught before similar 3rd grade skills and expectations are introduced.
Each assessment question has a CCSS number for easy identification and easy data transfer to the included data tracking sheet. Use this data tracking sheet to identify patterns and assist you in your planning for interventions, small groups, and classroom volunteers.
This is also a great tool to use at Parent Teacher Conferences as evidence to show why an intervention was put in place, or just to celebrate that a student retained all 2nd grade skills over the summer :)
I also included a teacher Key to help 3rd grade teachers see different strategies that are taught in 2nd grade (I teach 2nd grade...moving up to 3rd Fall 2014).
