Basic Concepts Sorting Boards/File Folders for students with autism and special needs.
There are 4 sets of 2 boards each (total 8 boards/file folders) for the following:
Each set consists of 2 differently colored boards and 2 groups of 16 objects to sort by color & type. They can be used as file folders for independent work tasks, or as a simple turn taking lotto type game. For more able students I like to use this as a 'race' to see who can complete their board first.
Preparation- print, laminate, & cut. To use this activity as a file folder you will need to use velcro dots.

As some people with autism can be overloaded by too much visual input, my resources have been designed with clear layout and plain backgrounds.
