    Description

These review task cards are perfect for reviewing important subject matter at any point during the school year. They are designed for second and third -graders.

Why use Basic Concepts: Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies | Task Cards? Research tells us that children need to frequently review what they’ve been taught in order for the information to go into their long-term memory. These sets of review cards are based on “general knowledge” information for second and third grades.

How it works: Teachers can bring out these sets of task cards for centers, group review, between units, or when they’re due for a break from the usual routine. It’s beneficial to repeat the use of each set. The more they are used, the more they will remember! (These are perfect for the sub tub as well!)

What’s included: This resource contains 180 task cards: 30 phonics, task cards, 30 language task cards, 30 vocabulary task cards, 30 Math task cards, 30 Science task cards, and 30 Social Studies task cards. There are answer sheets and answer keys for each subject. It also includes suggestions for use, including directions on how to play Scoot.

    Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
Estimate lengths using units of inches, feet, centimeters, and meters.
Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving lengths that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as drawings of rulers) and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
