The following is a quick assessment that I created for my preschoolers with special needs, however it may also be helpful for a regular preschool class or K-2 students in a separate class. I typically give it twice per year, either in the fall and mid spring or mid IEP cycle and then at the end of the IEP (prior to writing goals for an annual review). Much of the assessment can be completed in the child's natural environment by incorporating the concepts into their play with their remainder being completed during table time. I often bring this to IEP meetings so the parents can have a visual of their child's progress without having to do a "formal" assessment every term. Because it does not cover all areas a child may need addressed on their IEP, I have included a blank page to add additional assessment standards. The file contains 26 pages total including doc sheets and visuals, WHAT A DEAL!!!
