COURSE OVERVIEW:
In this 7-part course, the basics of thermodynamics are discussed in a series of PDF files and Video lectures. The PDF files average 11 pages in outline format and MP4 video lectures average 30 minutes.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW (part 1 of 7):
In this first chapter, we will set the stage for further investigations by examining some key definitions and key principles in Thermodynamics. We start with a brief overview of the different major personalities that have made Thermodynamics what it is today. We will then outline physics variables that you may have encountered before such as pressure and volume as well as introducing new physics variables in the form of temperature and the various scales that are used to measure it. The end result of this topic will be a discussion of what is known as the “zeroth law of Thermodynamics” which will strike many as seemingly commonsense but like all of physics, has deep implications.
