3D printing is coming to your classroom! Along with it will be students who want to do their own 3D modeling. Before you sink money into a site license for advanced CAD programs, you can use TinkerCAD for free!
Teachers can set up a class in TinkerCAD to quickly import files, and students can export files to 3D print on the schools 3D printer or at a local library.
This set of handouts covers the basic controls of TinkerCAD, as well as the advanced features and design methods for your advanced students.
This set of handouts includes dual extrusion printing, printing over fabric, and circuits. Interoperate microcomputers into your design work, including the programing and testing module for Pi computers.
This also includes a section on the new Scribble feature that was just release in Beta.
This is part of an ongoing series of 3D printing activities that I'm developing for STEM classrooms. Please stay tuned for more 3D printing handouts and activities.
