This research guide introduces students to the basics of thermodynamics.
The research guide is built to go along with the website Phyics4Kids. You can have the students visit the site by using the embedded web links in the files or you can print the pages for them to read. The research links are also included as PDFs with this file for easy printing. I like going online though, because each page of the research site has a related embedded video link to extend student knowledge.
The research has lots of concise detail and is visually supported very well.
This would take students around 75-90 minutes to complete if they were watching the videos included.
Topics covered include:
Heat of Atoms
Increasing Energy and Entropy
Conducting Energy and Heat
Three Big Temperature Scales (Fahrenheit, Celsius, Kelvin)
Thermodynamic Laws that Explain Systems
Energy and Entropy
