Product Description
Are you looking for a fun interactive music game where your students can review notes directly on the Bass Clef staff? Battlin' Basses will keep your students engaged for an entire 30 minutes. Great for centers, just assign a team to play at the Smartboard. The music game is great to leave with a substitute especially if the students have already played it in class and know the routine! It is also an excellent tool to use as review prior to giving an assessment.

This product is also sold in the Bass Clef: Battlin’ Basses (Bundle Set) - game for reviewing note names. Consider purchasing the BUNDLE of all 3 products to save money!

Utilizing this product in conjunction with Bass Clef: Battlin’ Basses- a board game for reviewing note names (for small groups) will increase all students ability to read notes on the bass clef staff and maximum results. I use the PowerPoint version as preparation to playing the Game Board version. Students are cheering when they have the opportunity to play in small groups with one group using the PowerPoint version! An excellent strategy for keeping the students excited and engaged!

Battlin’ Basses PowerPoint L1 is a perfect game to leave with a substitute especially if the students have already played it in class and know the routine. The game will keep students engaged for an entire 30 minutes. In addition, it is an excellent tool to use as a review prior to giving an assessment.

Depending on the abilities of your students and how lucky they are in rolling “big” numbers there could be a winner in about 20 minutes. Typically a game will take 30 minutes.

Level One uses notes that are directly on the staff. You might be interested in Level Two which uses notes from Low C to Middle C (C2 – C4).

Prior to starting the game decide on what object(s) will be used for the player’s game piece and you are ready to go. Anything that does not damage the board or the screen can be used (ex. different stars with a small amount of sticky tack, post-it-notes, magnets etc. It would be helpful if the player pieces were all different colors, objects or numbers.

I look forward to hearing how you use the product with your students when you leave feedback! Follow me on Facebook: McPherson’s Music Room and on Pinterest: McPherson’s Music Room.

Happy playing!
