This mini-unit includes a bat craftivity to review the -at family. The craft includes three different challenges, to make it appropriate for all levels. (Students either write in a beginning sound to make an "at" word, write the whole "at" word, or generate their own pictures and words that rhyme with "bat.") The finished word family bats are perfect to hang in the classroom.
It also includes an emergent reader with either a counting and number recognition component or an addition component. This allows you to use the same book for multiple levels in math. The reader also focuses on the words I, a, and see.
