BONUS - total of 21 different bat themed QR codes!!! By scanning these QR codes, your students will view 21 different read aloud stories, songs, and videos to enhance your bat or Halloween theme.
This is a great center (or something for your students to do when they finish early or as a reward!)! If you are lucky enough to have access to technology devices (ipods, ipads, tablets, etc.), then this center is for your students! You will need to download a FREE QR Scanner App.
I was careful to make all of the links in this file 'kid safe.' The videos are derived from YouTube, but are funneled through the Safeshare site to ensure that students are not watching or seeing things they shouldn't be seeing. When the QR Code is scanned, the resource pops up and the student pushes play.
Print the main sheet and/or iPads with individual QR codes, laminate and cut out. I print black and white copies on the school copier, then send them home with children at the end of the week so they can continue learning after the theme is complete. This is a lot less expensive than buying each individual book and CD's for your listening center! It also provides a variety of videos for your students to enjoy as they learn about bats.
A few of the TWENTY-ONE active QR code links are:
Night Song by Ari Berk,
Bat Jamboree by Kathi Appelt,
Five Little Bats Flying In The Night by Steve Metzger,
bat songs, bat videos,
and many more!
Your students will have the opportunity to see all 21 of the QR codes contained in this file to enhance your bat unit!!!
When I create files, I use a variety of videos from YouTube. However, more often than we would like, videos are removed from YouTube causing "broken" links in my files. If you happen to find a "broken" link in this or any of my products, please leave a comment for me so I replace the "broken" link, update and upload the file, and you can reprint for continued use.
