This set of pages includes 3 versions of "Bataille Navale" for the students to place in plastic sheet covers and use whiteboard markers to mark their ships / guess where their opponent's ships are located. One sheet has only numbers (lengths of time and times of day) and the other two (for 2 lower levels of modified programs includes times of day and genres of movies). Great for orally practicing numbers, it includes the French vocab for Battle Ship. There are also follow-up pages for practicing time (can be used as exit tickets or warm-up prior to games). Modified pages included.
I use these with my gr 7 & 8 classes. Warm up with time bell work, introduce the activity and model it, then let them play for approx 20 min. I sometimes hand half the class one version, the other half gets the other and then have them switch once they've finished their games.
