Teaching students with autism and other significant disabilities can be challenging. With varying needs, coming up with a curriculum which works for each child can be very difficult. Some of the hardest skills to teach are self help skills. Along with cognitive delays as well as fine motor and sensory challenges, there is a social component to keeping up with your appearance and hygiene. This social component adds to the challenge of teaching self help skills to a level of independence.
This FREEBIE includes the most up to date section of my Self Help Curriculum (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Self-Help-Curriculum-Resource-for-ABA-Autism-Special-Education-1126945): Restroom skills! This includes general skills for using the restroom as well as personal safety skills and social skills!
